Douglas Dickie, president of AccSys Solutions, has over thirty years experience in accounting and business management. Extensive experience in the analysis, design, and implementation of accounting and financial system solutions has given Douglas insight in accounting as a process, with an eye towards improving the efficiency and effectiveness of a business. He’s also seen, after the fact, how poorly selected or poorly implemented systems can have a profoundly debilitating impact on otherwise healthy businesses. Lars Glimhagen, Senior Consultant, is also a seasoned Adagio expert, and is recognized throughout North America as the most experienced trainer in our industry. He is certified in adult education by the Vancouver School Board, and has taught computerized accounting at Compucollege, Douglas College, Langara College, and in Continuing Education with the Vancouver School Board.

Lars has more than twenty-five years of experience in the field of accounting and finance.

Patricia Balbuena-Cotlear, Consultant, has 15 years’ experience with developing accounting and business oriented software as a System Analyst.  As an IT professional, she has had the opportunity to create custom software for manufacturing, distribution, pharmaceutical and aviation fields. The software developed gave competitive advantage to the companies as well as support to their administrative and accounting departments.

Seven years ago she decided to specialize in Accounting. In addition to completing a 2 year accounting diploma, Patricia has gained valuable experience being responsible as the in charge accountant responsible for full cycle accounting. Patricia's background allows her to deliver exceptional support to her Adagio clients, understanding their business processes and providing solutions.

Alexander Barakaev, Consultant, has 20 years’ experience in information technology, focusing on accounting software support. As an IT professional, Alex has been responsible for accounting software development, implementation, and support for large multi-national firms such as McDonald’s restaurants. Since moving to Vancouver from Moscow in 1999, Alex has concentrated on the IT field of accounting and finance. Prior to joining AccSys Solutions, Alex worked in various accounting positions, including the last 5 years as a controller responsible for full cycle accounting. Alex is currently pursuing his CGA designation, currently enrolled in CGA program (Level 4).
